KEEP
SHOOTING
Fez,
Morocco
 |
|
Whenever
possible, keep shooting is my motto. There's often more
than one composition in any given situation. Such was the
case in the medieval Fez Medina, a buzzy place to be, as
well as a difficult place to shoot. |
| Gadzillion
people moving briskly in narrow streets, changing light
levels, mule caravans careening along pushing one aside
for safety, all combine to challenge the photographer hoping
to isolate subjects. A vendor pushing fez hats allowed me
to photograph him against a tile wall. |

Due
to the hub-bub around me I was tempted to stop after the
overall shot, but I knew there were more images to be had
here. Staying with the Canon 28-135mm lens, I simply zoomed
in closer and closer, tried some unusual angles, and prayed
that the pop-up flash would not blast off the shiny tiles. |
| I
lucked out, and yes, bought a hat. |
