Currently, Lisl Dennis is presenting PEACE WITHIN, Healing Our World, One Breath at a Time. Lisl's inspirational, multimedia program highlighting her stories and imagery of pilgrimage and ceremony from exotic cultures around the world. Known for her graphic, color-intensive style in the fields of travel and the decorative arts, Lisl was a staff photographer on the Boston Globe from 1968 to 1970. She is an author, lecturer, TV host, educator, and tour leader. For many years as travel editor for Outdoor Photographer magazine, she wrote the Traveler’s Eye column exploring the cross-cultural aspects of the creative experience in foreign places.

Lisl's television appearances include hosting ESPN’s Canon Photo Safaris in Brazil, Canada, and Central America. She also hosted an 18-city satellite media tour for Canon Video. Lisl has been a guest on CNN’s Travel Guide and the Christopher Lowell Show.

Lisl presented VISUAL JOURNEYS - Creativity and Adventure in Travel Photography, a nationwide seminar series sponsored by Canon and Kodak. She founded and taught the Travel Photography Workshop in Santa Fe for 20-years. She conducted workshops and seminars nationwide for: the New York School of Visual Arts, the Santa Fe Workshops, Photo Expo, the American Society of Travel Writers, regional ASMP chapters, the Vail Valley Arts Council, the North American Nature Photographers Association, the New England Camera Club Council, and the Coupeville Arts Center.

In recent years, Lisl has participated in numerous and various retreats at the Upaya Zen Center in Santa Fe, NM. She has undertaken pilgrimage treks in the Himalaya to: Holy Mt. Kallas, to Everest's Kanchung base camp in Tibet, and solo trekked in Bhutan. In summer she is hiking and biking. In winter, avid skier Lisl practices her breathwork in deep powder. She is working on a book entitled Life and Breath. Lisl is a vanguard member of the Madrona Institute on San Juan Island, WA. The institute provides a forum for the discussion of the relationship between diplomacy, public policy, and complexity science in the interest of international peacemaking.

Landt Dennis

A graduate of Harvard with a B.A. in English Literature, Landt Dennis also received a M.B.A. from the Wharton School of Finance at the University of Pennsylvania. After several years practicing public relations in New York City, Landt became a correspondent for the Christian Science Monitor, serving in the newspapers home office in Boston, later in the New York City bureau. Becoming a freelance writer, Landt married his wife Lisl, a photographer. His articles - often with Lisl's photographs - appeared for over 25-years in major newspapers, also in travel, design, and lifestyle magazines.
